Scandic Hamar - Hamar (Hedmark)

The room was comfy, but the bathroom was missing basic stuff like hair conditioner, pretty disappointing. The breakfast spread, though, was a real winner!

We liked staying at scandic hamar. Just a walk down to the restaurant Volum.

On very cold days it was warm.

The price was to high for what was offered, No meals on Sunday does not meet my expectations of such an expensive hotel.

The location is great near the shopping center and walkable to the main town by the waterside. The staff are friendly and helpful, and i loved how comfy the bed was. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of options to choose from. The room was quiet, and i didn't hear other guests at all. It was a nice stay with a good feel in the lobby and public areas.

The room lacked basic facilities like a kettle and a phone to call reception. There was no free parking on site, inconvenient.

Very very good breakfast included fresh bread and fruit. The rooms where newly decorated with a tub as requested. The location was decent and absolutely perfect, very close to a shopping mall, convenient to go everywhere.

The service at the lobby is excellent. Staff is service-oriented and extremely helpful and you can park your car onsite...

Unfortunately, the staff had a rather indifferent attitude that overshadowed my stay. While the hotel was clean and the rooms generally comfortable, I found the lighting inadequate and the decor quite outdated and dull. I was also frustrated by the lack of complimentary tea/coffee facilities in the room, which forced me to venture to reception in my pajamas to fetch a kettle. These little inconveniences really diminished my overall experience.

Just a top selection for a swift visit in Hamar with excellent value. The friendly staff made the check-in process smooth and pleasant. Avoid the breakfast rush since the food wasn't freshly prepared, even early in the morning.

The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The room was quite, as I couldn't hear other guests at all. Towels had ample space to hang in the bathroom, which I really appreciated. Having hotel information neatly organized in a holder on the wall added to the convenience of my stay.

I liked the soap dispensers instead of individual bottles. I also liked the window in the internal bathroom - I could use it without needing to switch the light on during the daytime. Breakfast was great.

I was unable to have breakfast on my departure day because I had to get a train at 8.06 am and breakfast started at 8am on a Sunday. The room's thermostat was set to 21 deg on arrival. This is too hot for sleeping. Please could hotels reduce their temperatures. This will help sleeping and also help with climate change. I did not like being offered erotic films to watch on the TV screen on my arrival. I did not like looking at myself in the mirror when sitting on the loo.

Nice room,high up so I had a nice view.I do miss the nice things you find in the bathrooms in other hotels !!!Very best-I arrived very early,and they gave me a room at once !

Helpful Staff Made It Easier

Staying here was a mixed bag. The staff were super friendly and helped me out a lot, especially since I don't speak Norwegian. My room was decent but I wish it had been cleaner. The breakfast was solid, too, with a decent spread. Just wish the cleaning could've been a bit better.
